For this family room, we worked around the existing furniture and transformed the space by adding a new fireplace built-in with much-needed storage. The arched design brought both warmth and architectural interest, while the combination of white cabinetry and dark walnut panels created a light, bright look with a deep, rich contrast. We also selected an ottoman-style coffee table as a kid-friendly option that keeps the room soft and safe for little ones. Finishing the space with lighter drapery helped brighten the room even more, beautifully balancing the darker elements and giving the entire room an elevated, inviting feel.
